Black Mirror
2024 gave us the chance to get involved with a series that we have been keenly following since its birth, in 2011. Charlie Brooker’s groundbreaking ‘Black Mirror’ has been a ratings favourite for many years, and we were asked to come on board for Season 7; to provide the drama for 3 episodes.
These were Bête Noire (a culinary researcher whose reality begins to subtly change after an old classmate begins work at her office), Plaything (in a near-future London, an eccentric murder suspect is linked to an unusual video game from the 1990s) and USS Callister Into Infinity (the cloned crew of the USS Callister, are stranded in a virtual universe, "Infinity," where they must fight for survival against other players).
All 3 episodes are pieces that we are immensely proud to have been a part of - making high detail props such as Pixie’s iconic pink space gun and Maria’s time pendant, collapsing sets such as the roof from the Callister, creating stunt props and providing special effects (such as planet haze and the pink smoke in USS Callister); giving enormous production value to a series that, already has the feel of a feature film.
